The mission of Parisa NYC is to encourage women through the power of love stories. Inspired by her own life event, designer Parisa Wang’s idea for her line of designer handbags was born out of heartbreak. After a breakup, Parisa found consolation and support from her peers and she realized how much women struggle over relationships in silence. The designer found herself wanting to encourage women to express their emotions in a supportive environment. Fueled by this new perspective, she created a collection of handbags that capture and portray the stages of a romantic relationship, from the moment of enamourment to the final breakup and the maturing stage of letting go, fusing fashion with romance.

“I wanted to create an innovative experience for my customers,” says Wang. According to their relationship status, customers will take an online quiz that will match them with the perfect handbag, creating an exceptionally original shopping experience.

Parisa NYC Launches Designer Handbag Kickstarter Campaign

Parisa NYC has launched with a Kickstarter pre-sale event to debut the collection. Love Affair was designed with a universal sense of style, that meet the needs of the modern working woman. The designer handbag collection carries cross-body, tote bags, satchels, and pouches. All made of genuine calfskin and at a retail price range of $200 to $500.

Parisa Wang’s vision is to create a brand that helps women get in touch with their strong side, to encourage them to express themselves freely and become sources of inspiration for others. Each handcrafted handbag promises to be a symbol of independence, evoking a sense of belonging and empowerment. The brand’s ultimate goal is to create a strong community amongst their customers.

”Uniformity is the key to social success in China,” says Parisa Wang of her native country. However, the New York City designer believes that everyone’s path is set with different experiences and in the end, these events shape our own style. Wang strives for originality and self-expression. ”I didn’t want to make handbags that only carry things. I wanted to honor originality and authenticity”.
