There are few shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week that truly celebrate the art of pattern and design than the collection of Anna Sui. Each season it is a must see collection for me. As Tim Gunn told me in an interview right after an Anna Sui runway show in 2010, “Sometimes you wonder, What’s Anna thinking?”, he agreed that year she had knocked it out of the park. In the 7 seasons I’ve covered New York Fashion Week, I’ve never wondered what Anna’s thinking, I just revel in the pure creatively energy that flows from Anna’s creative brain and for me, Anna always knocks it out of the park.
