Silver, Red and Plaid Dominate Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2015 Collection

In Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week by Otaymah Bonds

New York Fashion Week 2015 marks Carmen Marc Valvo‘s 25th season as a designer. To celebrate the historic occasion, Valvo fused the color silver into his collection. The designer also used vivid red as a bold addition to winter coats that are usually neutral.

Hearkening back to his days in parochial school, schoolgirl/boy chic seemed to be the inspiration for Valvo show. The line featured loose neckties and plaids, making the nostalgia of school days seem all the more apparent. Although the designer had never used plaid in previous seasons, he saw this particular collection as the perfect chance to try the pattern. The result was a collection just as elegant and classic as the designer himself!

Added bonus: The style guru himself Tim Gunn was in attendance for this impeccable collection.
